Genre: Original Documentary
Subject Idea :This documentary would be centred around the premier league. We would investigate why there are less Asian players playing in the premier league. We would look at how other minorities got themselves into football and how they faced problems. We will have interviews with former Asian footballers and coaches. After looking at a range of documentaries, I looked at how I would make the documentary. The documentary genre would be an original type of documentary. The idea behind this is to see what asian footballers who played football think and what former footballers think about why there are not enough asian footballers.
Style/Techniques:
After looking at a range of documentaries, I looked at how I would make the documentary. The documentary type would be made around a expository type of documentary.
We would be using a range of techniques such as ‘Voice of God’ which is a voice over. We would have interviews to support the documentaries argument. We would music which would be made from vocals. We would use archive footage for league football that were going to show. We would use a lot of cutaways.
Target Audience:
The audience for our documentary is a variety of people however we were able to some it down to our ideal audience. In my
documentary I have decided that I would have ex- Asian footballers. These
participants were once interviewed and featured on a BBC documentary about
Muslim Asian footballers. Also I will be interviewing league players who are
playing for London APSA.
Imran Khan: Mr Khan was once a goal keeper for London APSA
and appeared on the BBC documentary ‘They think it’s all about Islam’. He left
and has started a fitness club called 313 fitness. He has organised UK MMA an
event across the country for amateur fighters.
Urfat Hussain: Mr Hussain was a centre half when playing for
London APSA. He has also appeared in the documentary ‘They think it’s all about
Islam’. He has left London APSA and is working in a company that he had started
up.
Mamnoon Sadiq: Mr Sadiq had played for London APSA as
midfield. He did not feature in the documentary ‘They think it’s all about
Islam’ however he claimed he was interviewed. After playing football with
London APSA and other teams he decided to work in IT and he is now working for a charity.
Waqas : He is currently in full time education and is
studying Chemistry,Biology and He is the captain of the London APSA team and has played many
games.
